Porsche launches its most powerful supercar, 911 GT2 RS in India
German auto maker, Porsche has announced the launch of its most powerful super car named Porsche 911 GT2 RS in the Indian market.
Porsche 911 GT2 RS is powered by twin turbo boxer 3.6 litre engine with six cylinders. It is capable of producing 620 HP and has the power of 3600cc. The carbon dioxide emission from the car is 284 gram per kilometer. It uses
11.9 litres of gasoline per 100 kilometer.
During the tests, the 911 GT2 RS attained a speed of 100 kilometers per hour in 3.5 seconds and 200 kilometers per hour in 9.8 seconds. It touched a high speed of 332 kilometers per hour. Even with such attainable speeds of the car, Porsche has already managed to attain all the necessary clearances for selling the car in the country.
Porsche 911 GT2 RS weighs only 3021 pounds which makes it light weight and fast. The car has aero dynamic feature that offer stability while driving. It comes in different colors with black interiors red lining. It features specially developed 19-inch 325/30 profile tyres.
The company designers have fitted the older engines with variable turbine technology and to boost the output to the level of about 456kW. The company did not disclose the engine's torque of the car.
It also features new technologies like Porsche composite ceramic brakes (PCCB), RS suspension tune with Porsche Adaptive Suspension Management (PASM) along with PSM electronic stability control system to offer a smooth rise to the customers.
The car would be the final model in the 911 series of the company before the launch of redesigned 998-series expected in 2012.
The company has decided to release only 500 models worldwide. The Porsche 911 GT2 RS will be priced at Rs. 1.5 crore in India.
